Do I need to be a pro makeup artist to join?
You donât need experience with Halloween or SPFX makeup to take this course. Iâll teach you beginner friendly steps for airbrush and out of kit FX, so even if youâve never done this style before, youâll be good to go.
But you should have some basic makeup experience â meaning youâve done makeup on other people and feel comfortable holding a brush. Weâre not covering beauty fundamentals like color correcting under eyes or filling in brows, so this course assumes youâve already played with makeup and are ready to elevate your skills to spooky levels.
Is this just Halloween focused or will it help with other types of work, too?
Spook and Sparkle is Halloween focused, but the skills youâll learn go way beyond October. These techniques carry over into film, music videos, immersive events, cosplay, comic cons, editorial shoots, etc etc. Your Halloween experience and portfolio can be the gateway to creative gigs all. year.
